• Teal Stanley of Greensboro won the top division Teal Stanley 2011 Gbo clip.jpg (120619 bytes)(Masters) at the 2014 Southern States Checker Tournament, held July 11-13 in Lebanon, Tennessee.
   This was a three-day, 3-Move Restrictive Play Tournament featuring some of the best checker players across the United States, and it was an open format allowing anyone interested to sign up and compete in three divisions.
   Stanley is a master ranked player by World Checkers Draughts Federation and American Checker Federation. He is one of three master ranked checker players in North Carolina.
